DUO DAYS 2023 / Employment and disability: why not start with a duo?

For several years now, the AMPERE Group has been welcoming people with disabilities from the Bresse area to its Chiché site as part of Duo Day. The aim of this day is twofold. It offers people with disabilities the chance to experience an industrial working environment outside the ESAT setting, whilst enabling companies to begin to change their perspective on the employability of these individuals. Because there is not just one type of disability but many, because they are very often perfectly compatible with employment, and because cohesion and sharing are the keys to independence and performance, the company continues to take part in these special days, which are rich in shared experiences.
 
In practice, a person with a disability is accompanied by a designated mentor during a one-day immersion session working in pairs, to explain the specifics of a particular role.

This year, we were delighted to welcome someone from the ESAT Messidor Chiché to work on an assembly line.
In the past, this experience has enabled us to identify potential candidates, including one person whom we recruited in 2021 following their participation in Duo Day.

Because they are capable, we must support and encourage them! Who’s next?
