WHAT WILL YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES BE?

To compile and provide the technical data required for design, costing and innovation, and then to supervise the production of the first prototypes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

– Understanding and analysing the client’s needs and expectations in order to design the most appropriate technical solution
– Searching for components in the internal database or on the market, where necessary
– Creating and coding components in the ERP system and submitting requests for quotations to the procurement department in conjunction with the technical component lead (validation, coding rules)
– Draw wiring harness diagrams using the in-house Photon software
– Create bills of materials and assembly sequences in our ERP system in accordance with internal rules
– Assess production assembly times based on batch sizes
– Estimate the technical resources required to carry out the project and assess the risks inherent in the project
– Collaborate with clients’ design office technicians to propose and justify technical alternatives that improve performance
– Keep abreast of technical developments regarding new components for clients’ applications
– Size electrical components
– Prepare industrialisation documentation: FMEA, FIFAB, 1:1 scale drawings, test programme, adjustment of assembly sequences, etc.
– Monitor the production of initial samples or prototypes and refine the manufacturing specifications
– Approve tooling designs for new products
– Research, design and approve production equipment
– Analyse and design industrial processes that guarantee our customers’ critical specifications

– Ensure the feasibility and cost estimation of client projects
– Ensure the accuracy of technical data in the ERP system
– Contribute to the consolidation of know-how and technical expertise
– Ensure product compliance with client requirements
– Monitor components and production equipment
– Adhere to the cost/quality/deadline/HSE policy
– Keep your line manager informed of your activities
– Comply with procedures, instructions and quality, safety and environmental rules
– Identify any non-conformities, isolate them and alert your line manager or the quality department
– Ensure compliance with waste sorting guidelines

TECHNICAL SKILLS

– Proficiency in reading electrical diagrams
– Proficiency in using computers and the Office suite
– Proficiency in design software: AutoCAD, SEE Electrical, SolidWorks
– Knowledge of control cabinet sizing, component layout and wiring harnesses
– Knowledge of components relevant to clients’ markets
– Knowledge of electrical safety standards
– Knowledge of an ERP system
– English: B1
– French: C1

Two years’ experience in electrical and mechanical design
Two years’ higher education in an industrial field
